Continuiamo il nostro viaggio tra le sale dell’Antico Caffè Greco. In questo video, esploriamo insieme la rappresentazione di Roma da parte degli artisti europei, soprattutto quelli d’oltralpe, in un periodo in cui la classicità e la cultura ellenistico-romana erano prossime al loro declino. Nel contempo, ci immergiamo nelle opere di Giovannini, che catturano magistralmente un mondo in lenta e dolorosa transizione verso i “nuovi tempi” imminenti.

We’re continuing our journey through Antico Caffè Greco’s halls. In this video, we’re going to explore together the representation of Rome through the eyes of European artists, especially those from across the Alps, in a time were Classicism and Hellnic-Roman cultures were near their downfall.
